DEQ offering three biodiesel workshops

HELENA The state Department of Environmental Quality is sponsoring three workshops this summer, to give people an overview of raising oilseeds and developing a biodiesel or bioproducts business.Workshops will be held in Whitefish, Havre and Sidney.

The workshops are designed for potential growers, biodiesel and bio-product producers and others who wish to help growers and producers succeed.

Regional and nationally recognized experts will present the workshops. The first part will cover raising oilseeds, while the second part will cover the basic production of quality bio-diesel.

Speakers and crops will vary, to allow each workshop to focus on crops raised in each area of the state.

The Whitefish workshop will be held at the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge on June 13th and 14th. The Havre workshop is July 13th at Montana State-Northern and the Sidney workshop is July 19th at the Sidney Elks Club.
