Canadian company moves forward on biodiesel plant Canadian Bioenergy Corp. is working on plans to build a 30 MMgy biodiesel plant in Alberta, Canada, according to President Ian Thomson. The company signed a property purchase agreement for 12.5 acres of land located next to Bunge Canada’s oilseed crushing and refining plant near Fort Saskatchewan. Under an agreement with Bunge Canada, Canadian Bioenergy will complete a feasibility study for the project. The plant’s feedstock will be canola, which it will obtain primarily from the Bunge facility, Thompson said.
