A company says it will begin construction by November on a biodiesel production plant that will produce 10 million gallons of the fuel each year.

Green Way Bio Energy of Little Rock says it will build at the Little Rock Port along the Arkansas River.

Biodiesel is made from soybean oil or other domestic fats and vegetable oils. It can be used in any diesel engine with few, if any, modifications and can be blended with petroleum-based diesel. Heavy users of the fuel include school buses, transit buses, freight companies and farmers.
