GS CleanTech Corp., a subsidiary of GreenShift Corp., finalized an agreement in July with an Arkansas poultry processing facility to obtain animal fat for use as a biodiesel production feedstock. According to David Winsness, CEO of the process engineering division of GS CleanTech, his company will provide the technology for extracting 15 MMgy of animal fat from the poultry producer’s waste sludge. The animal fat will be sold to GS CleanTech’s sister company GS AgriFuels Corp., which is proposing a biodiesel production plant in the south-central United States.Winsness said the poultry company couldn’t be named, as part of the agreement.
