HELSINKI (AFX) - Neste Oil said it has signed long-term contracts with Finnish firms Honkajoki Oy and Findest Protein Oy for the supply of animal fat to be used in biodiesel production at its refinery in Porvoo.

 

Neste Oil is currently building a plant for second-generation biodiesel at the refinery, and plans to begin production in summer 2007.

 

The group will fulfil its needs for animal fat by also sourcing supplies from outside Finland, it said.
