Boise, Idaho -- Treasure Valley residents can now help reduce the consumption of oil by purchasing biodiesel fuel. Starting Monday, it will be available at 11 Stinker Stations throughout the valley.

According to senior energy specialist, John Crockett, "B"-10 biodiesel is an environmentally friendly fuel produced by blending 10-percent biofuel and 90-percent petroleum diesel.

 

A $124,000 dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Energy enabled the Stinker Stations to upgrade their pumps and provide the fuel.
