Friday, officials with Blue Sky Biodiesel gave Governor Jim Risch a tour of the rebuilt plant that eventually will produce up to 400,000 gallons per month of fuel made from raw soy oil.
Risch says "The perseverance that has been shown after such a terrible tragedy is inspiring."
Blue Sky employee Blaise Black, who was just 25 years old, was killed in the explosion earlier this summer.
Black's father, a managing partner in the family-run operation, received second-degree burns.
Blaise Black had been welding on top of a biodiesel storage tank inside an old fruit warehouse when the blast happened.
The tank contained an unknown amount of the fuel, and the explosion touched off another, smaller explosion and a fire that quickly engulfed the entire building.
